Edelstein Breezes to Easy Victory in the Week 2 Pro Football Expert Pick Challenge

Fans, the week 2 Pro Football Expert Picks was a not even close. Jeff Edelstein, our Pro Football Expert from the The Trentonian (Central New Jersey's finest newspaper) ran away with a 9-7 record, while Ari "The Guru"(?) Kolker and Howard "The Wiz"(?) Wizwer limped across the finish line with a 6-10 record. The team from OKdub clearly needs to regroup after the thorough shellacking delivered by the long time columnist and football fanatic.

In case you're wondering what an ugly 6-10 week looks like on My Sports Pick - Football 09, it ain't pretty. Let's just say we were seeing red - figuratively and literally. Check it out:

Go to www.okdub.com and then click on the Expert > Pro Football to see all of the gory details.

Football Version 1.2 Has Been Approved By Apple!

Great news. My Sports Picks version 1.2 has been approved by Apple and is ready for sale on the App Store. We love our latest features for football:

1. Possession Indicator. Critical new feature. Now we can know who has the ball, along with the quarter and time remaining. Huge. Check out the screenshot of both the My Picks screen and the Scoreboard Screen

2. Email Your Picks to a friend. Love this feature as well. You can make your picks, then click on the email button and it opens up the iPhone Mail feature without leaving the app. Check out the screen shot:

3. "All Conferences" Choice on the New Pick wheel. This is a nice feature if you know a team is playing and you don't know the conference, or you want to see all D-1A games in a given week.

Enjoy the new features. As always, let us know what new features would make our apps even more awesome.

My Sports Picks and iBetFootball Join Forces!

Hi Fans,

This one is a no-brainer. My Sports Picks has joined forces with Footballbet.net, creator of the iBetFootball, iBetFootball Pro, and iBetFootball Lite apps for the iPhone.

What does iBetFootball do, you ask? Simple. iBetFootball uses the same sophisticated, proprietary formula that is used by Footballbet.net to find the best games to bet on each week.

Does it work? See for yourself. Last year, Footballbet.net enjoyed a 47-23 record for the season for games that the formula identified as a Best Bet. This app is definitely a necessary and vital tool for football sports bettors everywhere. In addition, also check out their Premium Excel spreadsheet program on which their app is based as it also adds the conveniences associated with using a PC such as printouts, charts, automated scoring and ranking of bet quality.

And once you make a pick, doesn't it make sense to track your bet on My Sports Picks - Football 09 app? Absolutely. Track your Best Bet record right in our app, after finding the Best Bet in the iBetFootball app. Perfect.

We will be featuring updates throughout the year related to the iBetFootball app. For now, please take a look at some of the screen shots below, and check out the website at http://www.footballbet.net/.

You can also buy the iBetFootball app on the App Store today. Here is the link:

Our Manifesto

I have a dream. Well actually a couple of dreams (I’m a sound sleeper). And yes, my dream is deeply rooted in the American Dream. That one day, I’d be able to make something tangible, a product that people from all over would buy and say to themselves or to their neighbor, “This is awesome. My life is better with this product.”

My best friend of 30 years, Howie Wizwer, also has this dream. So we created the company Okdub, and began working on our My Sports Picks suite of apps. And over the past 9 months, we have spent countless nights and weekends turning our dream into reality. My Sports Picks – Football 09 and My Sports Picks – Baseball 09. are both live and available in the iTunes App Store.

We set out with a simple goal: We wanted to build a product that would let sports fans make picks against live odds, track their wagers and office pools through a very easy to use interface, and manage their profits across sports.

But with 70,000 apps, there’s definitely competition. We’re up against other app companies with deep pockets and a team of developers just churning out feature after feature. But for all the apps that let a user make picks, tracks picks, and manage profit, no app comes close. Our app is the finest out there.

To turn this dream from a good dream to a fantastic dream, we need the help from you, our My Sports Picks fans. Fans, you can help us compete with the big boys by buying our app, spreading the word to your friends, and letting us know how we can improve our app. We already have several features in the planning stage, including a publish-your-picks feature so your friends or customers can see your picks, email your picks, view our Expert Picks through our app, and soon we’ll have My Sports Picks for Pro and College basketball.

Check us out on our My Sports Picks Facebook page at www.facebook.com/mysportspicks, our twitter page at www.twitter.com/mysportspicks09, or you can go to our website at www.okdub.com. If you have an iPhone or iPod Touch, check out our apps for just .99. The links to the app store are:

Baseball 09: http://tiny.cc/fFY1u

Perhaps we haven't developed the combustible engine, sliced bread, or even the peanut (really George Washington Carver? Invented the peanut? Really?). But we're proud of our product, and hope using our product will make your life just a little better!

Thanks fans!!

Sincerely,

Ari Kolker, Co-Founder OKdub
Howard Wizwer, Co-Founder, OKdub
